Overview

The Luau Greeter is responsible for creating a memorable first impression to our luau guests. This position facilitates a great experience by promptly greeting and seating guests, while providing an orientation to the luau grounds and the evening’s events.

 

Responsibilities

These duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

Greet and check-in guests while making a memorable first impression. Ensure positive guest services in all areas.  Respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guest into return guests.Prepare tickets and reserve signs for check-in.Recognize and organize agent receipts.Assist special needs guestsAssist parties of 10 or more. Inform guests of grounds, facilities and amenities.Escort Guests to their seats.Must work closely with the F&B Luau Manager, and all Luau staff.Must attend and participate in all scheduled rehearsals and trainings for the show as required.Must attend all pre-shift and post shift meetings.Must perform all assigned pre-shift and post shift duties.Responsible to report any problems or issues to the Luau Manager that requires his/her attention as they arise.Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.  Must ensure compliance with all local and liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations.Must be in compliance with the Hotel rules and regulations.Must attend and participate in all department and company required meetings/training.Ensure good employee morale and a productive work environment.Must provide excellent guest experience for overall guest satisfaction.Must perform other duties as directed by supervisor/management. Qualifications At least 2-years’ experience in playing the instrument you are hired to play.At least 2-years' experience in a Luau show production or equivalent. Previous guest service experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of Hawaiian/Polynesian culture, songs and dances.
