Lubrication Technician

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Lubrication Technician for our Emerson EWP mill. This is a full-time hourly position reporting to the Reliability Manager.

Key Functions:

Follow all safety policies, processes, and proceduresMaintain manufacturing equipment lubrication requirements, including regular greasing, oiling, and oil changesFollow and optimize site lubrication schedule and continuously improve lubrication programUpdate scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activitiesCoordination of inventory and routine ordering of lubrication productsUse of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functionsEnsure high standards of cleanliness of lubrication storage and dispensing equipmentReport mechanical issues identified during lubrication workMechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvementsInspect filters and breathers on reservoirsLabel and tag reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and delivery containersSchedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysisReceive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance; ensure follow-up actions are completed in timely mannerManage disposal of waste oil in accordance with environmental requirementsIs expected to attain MLA Level 1 certification within 12 months of accepting the position and completing MLA Level 2 training within the following 12 months.
