This position is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical systems.

Responsibilities Coordination of inventory of products to managementStocking inventory locationsUse of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functionsDraining and cleaning of reservoirsMechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvementsFilling reservoir topping off reservoirsChanging filters and breathers on reservoirsOperating filtration equipmentGrease relubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipmentMaintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systemsLabeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containersPrinting and completing planned PM’sUpdating schedules in systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activitiesReporting discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systemsPerforming various wet chemical analyses to monitor quality of gypsum byproduct to wallboard specificationsMonitoring process feed product as well as wastewater treatmentAssisting plant operators in problem solving by providing analytical supportProviding daily reports of analysesWillingness to cross train in the FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) Lab and fill in two days a week collecting and testing Gypsum samplesMust be able to operate lifting equipment (Fork Lift)Must be able to perform lockout-tag out procedures Qualifications Valid driver’s license requiredHave mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenanceHave a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and circulating systems operation, contamination control and maintenance functionsPrevious work-related skill, knowledge and/or experience are requiredExcellent communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of operating moderately complex software and web-based programs for lubrication schedulingKnowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills preferredKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance preferredKnowledge of lifting equipment (Fork Lift) requiredKnowledge of lockout-tag out procedures requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred Work Environment & Conditions This position requires a flexible work schedule: 40 hours/week (Sunday-Thursday) or (Tuesday-Saturday) and/or overtimeThis position requires working in the internal and external environmentBe subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilationMust be able to move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 500 pounds with the aid of mechanical devicesMust be able to lift and carry 5-gallon containers weighing up to 50 poundsMust be able to troubleshoot equipment, recognize problems, evaluate options and generate solutionsAbility to work independently and as a teamAbility to effectively communicate (clear, concise, accurate) both orally and in writing
