As an Authenticator at The RealReal, you will be responsible for inspecting and processing incoming consigned products and entering supporting data into our inventory system. Review and authenticate luxury clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories using TRR methodology and adhering to acceptance and condition standards
Evaluate quality of materials and construction
Reference internal authentication resources to accurately review products
Remain well-versed on current brand trends & developments
Notate and report details of product into back-end TRR system
What You Bring To The RoleMinimum Requirements:
Experience working in the retail or fashion industry
Strong fashion knowledge – including top designers and brands, current trends, fabrics, garment construction, etc.
Proven ability to excel in a high-volume, repetitive environment
Self-motivation and a drive to achieve results
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
Adaptability and openness to change
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds (moving and sorting product, etc.)
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours at a time
Ability to read and write in English
Proficiency with Mac OS and Google Suite
Preferred Requirements:
College degree in fashion studies/merchandising, textiles studies, etc.
Experience working in authentication roles
Compensation, Benefits, + PerksHourly base pay + incentive pay based on performance/quota targets achieved. Applicable to employees who work a minimum of 40 hours per month.

The expected hourly rate for this role is 18-18.5. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package.
