Job Summary

\n

As an LVAD Coordinator RN, you'll be a certified part of our healthcare team, coordinating patient care. You will manage evaluations, admissions, and discharges for LVAD patients. Using the nursing process, you'll assess conditions, create care plans, evaluate responses, and track outcomes.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nPrioritize patient and family needs before implementing care plans.\nYou'll evaluate nursing practices regularly and advocate for changes based on research evidence when needed.\nYour role involves managing patient discomfort, alleviating suffering, promoting healing, and preventing pain. This requires both emotional and physical care.\nIt is important to protect patients' confidentiality, dignity, and rights.\nYou will help others learn by providing education to patients, families, and the community to improve care.\nYou will work with others to create and follow care plans, promoting teamwork and common goals.\nIn your role, problem-solving and efficient resource use show your systems thinking skills are crucial.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nYou need a deep knowledge and skill in nursing, specifically for long-term mechanical heart support devices.\nManaging patient care with ventricular assist devices is vital.\nEducating staff and caregivers on device use is also crucial.\nGood communication and teamwork are key assets.\n\n

Qualifications

Associate's degree.Minimum (2) two years in relevant field.RN LicenseBLS or must obtain within 30 days of being hired.
