About the job:

Kent is looking for an Analyst or Junior Associate of M&A and Corporate Development

Kent has grown dramatically in recent years, and is established as a leading global player in the energy services industry. We are committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in delivering cutting-edge services to our clients worldwide. Since starting an inhouse M&A and Corporate Development function in July 2024, we have made strong progress, having completed our first acquisition in February 2025 (Sudlows Consulting) and we are looking at a strong pipeline of opportunities. We are therefore looking to hire an Analyst or Junior Associate to be an integral part of our team and help drive our M&A and Corporate Development efforts.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities:

The Analyst/Junior Associate of M&A and Corporate Development will be a key member of the finance team and will play a crucial role in driving the strategic growth initiatives of Kent. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of M&A and Corporate Development, the successful candidate will lead and execute corporate development strategies, including M&A processes, partnerships, and other strategic transactions to support the company's expansion goals.

M&A origination and execution

Assist on origination and execution of M&A processes, from target identification and due diligence to negotiation and integration, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.Assess and analyze potential acquisition targets, conducting financial modelling, evaluating strategic fit and preparing internal presentation materials.

Due Diligence

Work on due diligence processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to assess legal, financial, and operational aspects of potential transactions.

Strategic Planning

Help develop and refine the company's strategic plan, identifying growth opportunities and potential partnerships.Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform strategic decision-making.

Integration and Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with various departments, including legal, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of transactions and integration of acquired entities.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Bachelor's degree in any field, however understanding of basic principles of Finance and Business required.

Communication:

Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

Proven experience (2-4 years) in M&A, investing, corporate development or related roles.Strong interest in the energy and industrial sectors and route to Net Zero.Strong financial acumen, with the ability to conduct complex financial analyses and modeling.Communication and presentation skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
