We are assisting a leading construction & engineering contractor with a reputation in delivering world-class projects in their search for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor. As M&E Quantity Surveyor your tasks will include detailed cost planning, contract management, procurement, and risk management in Data Centre and Commercial projects. As an ideal candidate you have extensive experience in quantity surveying within the MEP sector, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Establish a comprehensive project budget based on project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Lead the cost planning and management for MEP projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.
Prepare an accurate and informed report/documentation on the project's cost performance ready for review or submission to the relevant senior management.
Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.
Evaluate and analyse contracts and identify key terms, conditions and obligations related to cost management.
Work closely with project teams and engineers to process and polish cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.
Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify potential issues and present reliable solutions.
Proactively join in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
4+ years of M&E Quantity Surveying experience within construction preferably with focus on Data Centre, Commercial, or Residential projects.
Proficiency in M&E Quantity Surveying software and tools.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
