GDIT has a position opening for a MS 365 Endpoint Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and support in the areas of IT planning, solution specification/design, and target architecture development. The well qualified candidate will have a strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions; and significant experience architecting and developing technical solutions. The preferred candidate will have excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation, and experience serving as an advisor to federal CIOs and senior IT managers.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a diverse technical staff delivering enterprise end-point management solutionsParticipating as a senior member of the program team and working with the other GDIT teams to develop target architectures and evaluate IT investment requests.Working with the supported customers’ project staff to facilitate IT strategic planningResponding to technical questions and research requests from the supported customersPerforming solution scans and designing and estimating the cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of IT investment requestsPreparing solution packages documenting recommended technical solutions and estimated costs and benefits.Advising/driving an application modernization initiativeFacilitating staff in conducting evaluations of proposed COTS solutionsProviding advice and support for systems development and engineering projectsCoordinating with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issuesPreparing deliverable reports and briefingsQualifications:
BA/BS and 10-15 years of relevant experienceStrong cloud and mobile management experience with expertise in Office 365 applications (E.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Exchange Online, Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD and/or Single Sign On (SSO)).Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS softwa application products i.e. MicrosoftSolution architecture experienceSuccessful systems development experience involving COTS integrationExperience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutionsStrong communication, presentation and facilitation skillsCustomer service orientationMicrosoft Technology Certification or equivalent relevant experience is requiredExperience in Agile methodologies and Project Management Experience managing IT infrastructure projectsDesirable:
Experience architecting and/or leading application modernization initiativesUnderstanding of federal enterprise architecture conceptsServiceNow experienceBusiness analysis skills
