The McMillan Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a personable and hard-working Medical Assistant!

Position Summary & Highlights:

This MA position will support a busy and established physician at the clinic.

You will also work with other MAs and RNs to support other Providers in a great workplace culture.

You will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA skills and will see a variety of patients.

McMillan Family Medicine Clinic takes a collaborative, team-based approach to providing patients the best care possible.

What Will You Do:

In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.

You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.

An ideal candidate is friendly and enjoys working in a fast-paced and strong team environment.

You will have effective communication skills, are flexible, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working independently and on a team.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, 4 - 10 hour shifts, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (Wednesdays off) around the hours of 7:00am - 5:30pm.

Shift start and end time may vary based on provider and clinic needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

American Medical Technologists (RMA)

National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
