Responsible for designing and implementing proprietary manufacturing equipment projects to meet global production needs. This includes full project management, from conceptual development to fabrication drawings, procurement, manufacturing oversight, testing, and O&M documentation.
Essential Functions:
• Participate in conceptualizing, designing, and developing manufacturing equipment to meet global performance and quality needs.
• Create detailed 3D models, perform functional simulations, and verify design feasibility.
• Conduct risk assessments for design and manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet product specifications and standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proper process, equipment, and project documentation is captured and stored digitally.
• Analyze costs, labor, and materials to identify cost reduction opportunities across projects.
• Monitor equipment performance post-implementation and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Travel up to 10%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel.
Required Qualifications:
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering a technical degree with equivalent experience. 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering/machine design required.
• Construction / Machinery Project Management experience leading teams & managing vendors as a project manager and/or project team leader
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor
• Well-versed in robotics (Fanuc/Yaskawa/Kuka/Nachi)
• Proficient designing/programming/troubleshooting PLC Hardware & Software (i.e. Control Logix 5000, Factory Talk Studio, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 10%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel
Preferred Qualifications:
• EIT or Professional Engineers License
• MBA or MS Technical degree
• Finite element analysis experience
• Knowledge of Lean tools and principles
