Responsibilities Design and develop quality ML systems to include creating and implementing algorithms and models that can learn from and make predictions based on data. Collaborate within an agile software development process with software engineers subject matter experts, and stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into broader systems. Prepare data through collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure it is suitable for training models. Serve as a technical resource or subject matter expert when needed to support the customer and future proposal efforts. Peer review the work of other ML engineers and provide constructive feedback. Participate in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups. Mentor junior ML engineers. Contribute to the improvement of processes and practices. Prepare reports on all aspects related to ML development. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field Experience: 8+ years of Experience successfully designing, developing, implementing, and training ML algorithms and models. 5+ years of Experience successfully collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data for use with ML models. 5+ years of Experience deploying models into production environments and maintaining them to ensure they continue to perform well over time. 5+ years of experience providing in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues 5+ years of experience with a source control tool such as git 5+ years of experience with a software lifecycle management tool such as Azure DevOps 5+ years of experience writing unit tests and performing code reviews 5+ years of experience with current and emerging software development methodologies, processes, and life-cycle models, (e.g. CMMI and Scrum) Skills & Technology Used: Agile/Scrum software development practices Azure DevOps PostgreSQL or SQL and Database Operations Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Operating Systems Object-oriented languages and web development technologies C#, Python, PyTorch, scikit-learn, SQL (especially PostgreSQL), Entity Framework Docker and containerized web services Visual Studio Other Requirements: US Citizen Active DoD SECRET level security clearance required.
