Our aseptic processing and packaging makes our solutions more convenient, efficient and environmentally friendly. We are seeking an energetic, skilled Machine Operator in Arkansas City, Kansas. We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week.   Shift is 10:00p-6:00a, this opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.  

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $16.00-$17.00+ .50 shift differential when worked.

Responsibilities Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak. Participate in formulating and administering the short and long range goals and objectives for business growthFollows daily production schedule according to product needsUnderstands the entire line operationOperates, cleans, and troubleshoots a variety of equipment, including a JBT Filler, Stork, and Surge TankWorks closely with Quality and other departments to meet all safe quality food standardsCommunicates with all supervisors/leads regarding any quality or production issuesContinuous training of processing operations and sanitationUnderstands variances in process and directly corrects issues or recommends potential fixes to supervisors/leadsProvides support and works alongside any operation that may be short staffed or need help Maintains all equipment in the process Qualifications

Employment Requirements:

High School GraduateSix months to one year experience in food industry and/or operating industrial equipment, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Continuously stand/walk up to 8 hours per shiftFrequently bend/squat/crouch in an 8 hour shiftDetail OrientedHonest/Reliable/AccountableDemonstrated initiative and serves as team memberMaintains confidentiality of highly sensitive informationAbility to work well under pressure

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must reguarly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally carry for up to 100 feet. The employee is occasionally required to climb up and down stairs/steps. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
