Harland Clarke, a Vericast business, is looking to add a Checkfolio Operator to their 2nd Shift team! As a Checkfolio Operator, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Packaging equipment (Automated CloseOut System), maintaining quality, and production objectives. This position is located in High Point, NC.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Operate the packaging system monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the packaging system operation.Completes the production process for printed material by operating bindery/packaging equipment.Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsExperience / Skills / Abilities Required:
Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.
Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion. Must wear hearing protection on the production floor.
Additional InformationHourly Pay Rate:$17.00 DOE, plus $1.75 hourly shift differentialMonday - Friday Hours 3pm – 11:30pm + OvertimeThe ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
