Aerotek is hiring a Machine Operator (3rd Shift)ResponsibilitiesStage materials for production, perform machine setup to specifications, and modify HMI settings.Run, operate, and perform minor preventative maintenance on machinery, including changing, disassembling, and cleaning machines.Maintain production on two lines by monitoring hopper levels, temperatures, vacuum pressures, and other parameters.Perform tooling changes and reassemble using basic hand tools such as crescent wrenches, allen wrenches, power tools, and hand tools.Load product and materials into machines, monitor product flow and temperature, and modify settings to ensure quality products.Manually push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs throughout the shift and roll wheels weighing 700 - 1200 lbs every 25 minutes.Operate sit-down, stand-up forklifts, and electric hand trucks to move materials and finished products.Examine and sample extruded products for defects and provide samples to the lab for testing.Perform basic testing using calipers, gauges, and other tools to measure thickness, ID and OD tolerances, and log findings.Modify products by changing settings through HMI to adjust temperature and RPM as needed.Perform material handling operations including packaging, shipping, and receiving.Operate packaging equipment and palletizing systems, and assist where needed.Utilize proper tools for each task and collect data on the production area.Bend, stoop, and lift products, tools, and other items needed to perform the job.Essential Skills3 - 5 years of experience in machine operations, preferably with mechanical aptitude and the ability to multi-task.Strong attention to detail to monitor the process for quality materials and products.Knowledge of HMI production machinery.Forklift operation experience (stand-up and sit-down).Ability to wear required safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to climb ladders and stairs.Good eye-to-hand coordination.Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.Experience operating forklifts and hand trucks safely.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
