Essential Functions

Have knowledge of department and plant processesKnowledge of production equipment\hand held tools used in the department in a professional mannerAbility to read blueprintsBe able to read the daily layout sheet and install the correct size spiral wire in the mold to approximately match the mold section's dimensionsPerform safety auditsParticipate in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5SAbility to accurately use and read a tape measureAbility to work overtime as required to meet business needsDemonstrates the ability of attention to detail of products and processesPerform strenuous activities for a moderate durationMaintains an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptedPerforms other duties directed by leaders and managementActively participate in department safety, and demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors, which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures

Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional mannerAbility to pay attention to detail and follow work instructionsAbility to work overtime as required to meet business needsRemove all debris and foreign material from mold.Appropriately apply a thin layer of oil to coat mold skin from tip to buttArticulate the difference in chuck bodies and wedges and install them correctly on to the mold strand.Ability to read, measure, and install the false plate per the engineered drawingAbility to read and comprehend the daily layout sheet and install the correct size spiral wire in the mold to approximately match the mold sections' dimensions.Ability to read and comprehend the engineered drawing and determine the correct type and length of de-mold and install correctly while it is flush and secured in place at the tip of the tension plate with tie wire.Obtains initial stress jack certification from EHS.Identify and report safety hazardsAssist with general plant clean up and housekeepingThis position reports to the Department Supervisor
