Machine Operator – Fabrication Department (Drill Press Focus)
Location: York, PA
Pay: $17-$23/hr (commensurate with experience and ability)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (Overtime as required)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support our fabrication department, specifically within the drill press area. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of setting up and operating drill presses with minimal supervision, and performing a variety of machining and layout tasks to support production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate drill presses for production and layout work.

Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform precise machining tasks.

Utilize measuring tools with a high degree of accuracy for layout and quality checks.

Operate various saws, including horizontal and vertical band saws.

Assist with small milling machine operation (a plus).

Deburr sawed parts to ensure quality standards are met.

Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and lifts safely and efficiently.

Perform additional duties as needed in support of the fabrication team.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent use of hands and fingers; reaching with hands and arms.

Regular standing, walking, climbing, and balancing required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with forklift operation.

Willingness to be flexible and assist in other areas as needed.

Compensation & Schedule:

Starting wage around $17/hour, with actual pay based on experience and skill level.

Overtime opportunities available as needed.

Work Schedule:

Shop hours begin at 6:00 AM

Paid breaks at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Unpaid lunch break from 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM

Standard end of shift at 2:30 PM (subject to overtime)

Additional afternoon break may be provided if working extended hours.
