Job Description:

Mars FishCare- Chalfont, PA is looking for a Machine Operator in our packaging plant.

*Training Available!

Required Shift:

Monday- Thursday 5:30am- 4pm (10 hour shift)

Job Purpose:

Machine Operators are system experts in their assigned area (packaging), and are highly functional in multiple areas. They operate and change specified machinery while ensuring safety, efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GEDMechanical aptitudeBasic troubleshooting skillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand English

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.)Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stoopingAbility to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipmentAbility to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 10 hours)Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing experienceKnowledge of food safety, GMP’s, HACCPOperational ExperiencePackaging and process experience

What will be my key responsibilities?

Running of packaging/process equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping in accordance with all routine SOPs and specificationsResponsible for loading packaging material, clearing jams, resetting faults, changeovers, quality checks, GMP and reporting issuesComplete basic preventative maintenance work orders as assigned (e.g. lubrication, observation, etc) and enter corrective work order requests into the MISConformance to all area LOTO and safety procedures, including wearing of PPE and reporting any safety hazardsAd hoc tasks
