**Job Title: 1st Shift - Machine Operator** **Job Description** 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime is 10-15 hours a week, from 4:00 am - 2:30 pm. Must be open to Saturday overtime when business requires it. As a Slitter Machine Operator, you will operate a machine to slit continuous lengths of aluminum into strips of specified width. You will space rotary blades on the machine shaft according to the specified strip width, mount rolls of material on machine supports, thread material over the tension bar, between feed rollers, and under rotary blades. You will start the machine and observe material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding, move levers to stop, start, and regulate the machine speed, and align material with rotary blades. Additionally, you will remove narrow rolls of material from the winding shaft and stack material on shelves based on width. **Hard Skills** + Machine operation + Material threading + Blade spacing + Speed regulation + Material stacking **Soft Skills** + Attention to detail + Time management + Problem-solving + Adaptability **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. **Work Environment** The work environment is a standard manufacturing shop. It is fairly clean but can get dirty due to the metal shop operations.
