Overview

The machine operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality product, safely and on-time. The working schedule will be 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:00pm – 5:00am with every other weekend scheduled.

Responsibilities

Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product, as well as work in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures. Performing setups in accordance with established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders are also required. 

Additional responsibilities include: Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

Strongly prefer candidates with mechanical ability or previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to troubleshootHigh School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.Must be able to pass background check and drug test including medical marijuana.Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.You must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day.You must be able to walk 8-10 hours per day for short distances.You must be able to push/pull up to 66 pounds multiple times per day.You must be able to bend 10-20 times per day.You must be able to squat 20 times per day.You must be able to climb step ladder (4-6 steps) 4-5 times per day.You must be able to reach 10 times per day.You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.You must be able to twist moving reels multiple times per day.You must be able to grasp, manipulate, push/pull 40-50 times per day.You must be able to demonstrate mechanical and computer skills.You must be able to multitask and troubleshoot.
