Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operating, mechanical aptitude, and strong math skills. This role involves operating and maintaining machines, performing quality checks, and assisting with job changes. The candidate will be expected to learn all facets of running the press to prepare for becoming a Press Operator.
ResponsibilitiesObtain production order and determine specifications for impending job and arrange for delivery of base materials to machineLoad print rolls and base films or materials onto unwind standsPerform basic quality checks on filmsMix primers using prescribed formulas and maintain adequate levels in reservoirsTransfer hazardous waste into designated drums and transport to storage areasApply tape to resin roller to prevent extrusion from sticking and adjust web guide sensors and trim knives as requiredCheck poly/adhesive applications and install anilox rollersSet brake control pressures and thread web(s) through machine, lapping and taping ends around take-up coreRemove finished roll of laminated material from rewind using hoist or walk-around lift, and transport roll to floor scales. Accurately record weights, footage count, time, etc. on roll ticket and transfer roll to designated storage areaAssist operator with job changes as prescribedLearn all facets of running the press to prepare for becoming a Press OperatorMaintain the 7S standard during your shiftClean machine and area before startupReview job card to determine any special laminating instructions, specifications, and quantityPrepare adhesive mixer and check viscosity by the person cup per order lotChange out additional machine parts per the job cardGo to the staging area to pick up web rollCut sample film before laminationLoad and thread web rolls through the machineInput parameters specific to the job cardPlace paper core in the rewinderCut sample and take to quality lab for Gas Chromatography testConduct quality check - take laminated film sample and test for thickness, print pitch, and lamination strength, and conduct visual inspectionUnload rolls from the machine and stage for logistics when production is finishedMaintain PMs on press and other equipment as needed using hand toolsChange or replace all necessary parts before the next runOnce a day, cut laminate sample and check volume for adhesiveComplete Production lot report and shift reportCheck adhesive consumption and report at the end of the dayEssential SkillsMachine Operating or Machine Set-Up ExperienceMechanical AptitudeStrong Math SkillsAbility to follow ALL PPE RequirementsGood Attitude and Work EthicAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with troubleshooting, hand tools, machine operation, blueprints, mechanical tasks, printing press, printing, general labor, assembly, packaging, general production, and inspectionWhy Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00
They offer a 401k match (2%), Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Life Insurance, Climate Controlled Facility, They also offer competitive pay, and individuals can expect to see a pay raise after 90 days (Probation Period).
