**Job Title:** Press Brake Operator **Pay Rate:** $18.00 per hour **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating fabricating machines, including cutoff saws, shears, rolls, presses, and other related equipment, to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to interpret technical job specifications. **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate various fabricating machines, such as press brakes, cutoff saws, shears, rolls, and forming machines. + Interpret job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements. + Set up machines by positioning stops or guides to the specified lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or template. + Perform machine adjustments to ensure proper alignment and product accuracy. + Monitor machine operations to ensure they stay within prescribed tolerances and material specifications. + Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. + Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment. + Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and on-time project completion. **Qualifications:** + Previous experience operating fabricating or metalworking machinery, specifically press brakes, is preferred. + Strong understanding of machine operation, adjustments, and material handling. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. + Basic math skills, including the ability to measure and use a ruler, scale, or template accurately. + Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues. + Safety-conscious with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift and maneuver materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. + Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and noise.
