The Dryer Operator is responsible for understanding and operation of all drying and related equipment, controls, conveyors and scales and record production data as required. The Dryer Operator must properly carry out the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that quality and production standards are met and understand and follow all plant policies. Employees are required to comply with all safety, production, quality requirements and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understanding of the fiber board drying process and how to control it.Proper operating instructions for all drying and related equipment (#9 Dryer and controls, #7 Dryer and controls, feed conveyors, take off conveyors, scales etc.).Quality checks and calculations as required by SOP. Perform minor maintenance to prevent unnecessary downtime. Make necessary continued preventive inspections of all equipment. Be mechanically capable to adjust relevant equipment (fabrics, slitters, etc.).Able to decipher and/or generate necessary paperwork for quality and productivity analysis, in an accurate and thorough manner.train and/or direct any personnel assisting in the drying operation.perform full visual inspection and to recognize any physical defects and report such defects immediately.Operate all equipment (forklifts, dryers, controls, etc.) and carry out all procedures in a safe and controlled manner. Being responsible for the general housekeeping of the Dryer area.Perform various other duties as assigned based on allowable time and requirements.Compensation: $21.21/hour
Hourly pay rate increased to $23.57/hour after 90 days of employment
