Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** The machine shop is responsible for metal cutting, drilling, grinding, and deburring parts to meet blueprint and instruction specifications. This machine operator's role involves staging parts using a forklift and pallet jack, loading raw material into CNC machines, deburring parts, removing excess metal using air-powered tools, offloading finished parts from machines, and general helper duties around the machine shop. This role requires flexibility as it involves various tasks to ensure parts are ready for production. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for production, quality, housekeeping, and other related duties associated with operations. + Set up and operate CNC machines, transport material, operate wash tanks, and move material around the facility using a forklift. + Troubleshoot everyday problems efficiently. + Flexibly float from one machine to another as needed. + Follow the control plan for assigned machines or jobs, adhering to quality and process standards. **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment. + Experience running a machine in a manufacturing environment, preferably CNC. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience performing quality inspections on finished parts. **Shifts and Pay** + 1st shift (7AM-3PM M-F) + $24.47 + 2nd shift (3PM-11PM M-F) + $24.47, with a shift differential of $0.86 + 3rd shift (11PM-7AM Sun-Thur) + $24.47, with a shift differential of $0.86 + Weekend 1st shift (6AM-6PM Fri-Sun) + $24.47 + Weekend 3rd shift (6PM-6AM Fri-Sun). + $24.47, with a shift differential of $0.86 + Overtime is scheduled for every other Saturday throughout 2025 **Why Work Here?** Our company values community engagement, partnering with organizations such as United Way, Purdue University, and the City of Lafayette. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
