TAC Drill Operator The TAC Drill Operator will perform a number of functions necessary to ensure that flat glass is precision drilled to the specifications as defined in the product blueprint before glass is finished and shipped to the customer. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Meets production standards as defined by management. Operates the equipment to desired process parameters and procedures. Maintains integrity of process maintaining supply levels for CNC drilling. Maintains accurate documentation through necessary record keeping including completing all paperwork assigned to workstation. Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager in a timely manner, all concerns related to safety, quality, and productivity. Maintains the daily operation of the equipment. Observes and adheres to all safety related rules and procedures. Assisting in departmental housekeeping, maintaining a clean and orderly workstation. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing following detailed instructions as provided. Ability to maintain production flow. Basic knowledge or understanding of CNC programming. Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions. Ability to understand work processes, methods, and use of equipment. Ability to communicate to Manufacturing Manager any concerns related to safety, quality, and productivity. DIFFICULTY OF WORK Work consists of simple, routine, repetitive tasks. A moderate degree of care and skill is required to ensure completeness of ground glass according to supplied specifications. A significant degree of care and skill is necessary to ensure that the process continues, and product delivery occurs with a minimal amount of disruption. RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for following instructions both written and verbal, reading all information pertaining to specifications and procedures, and operating within these parameters. Work is reviewed periodically and upon completion for soundness of judgment and accuracy. Errors in completeness may result in delays of production and dissatisfaction of customer expectation. PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS Incumbents have contact with other plant employees. The purposes of these contracts are to exchange information regarding specific standards to maintain production standards and goals. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Involves moderate effort exerted in lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and bending. Frequent heavy lifting of between one (1) and fifty (50) pounds may be necessary. Work is performed in a typical factory environment and can be a wet environment at times. Special care will need to be taken in the handling and grinding of both small and large pieces of glass. SUPERVISION This position does not supervise anyone.
