Key Responsibilities
Operate all packaging equipment to produce quality products.Rotation within the packaging departments may be required. Team members will be expected to participate in line relief and may be deployed to other departments depending on production requirements.Ensure that required SAP(Enterprise Resource Planning software system) and IQS quality inspections conform to customer, legal and internal requirements.Change over packaging equipment, troubleshoot problems and adjust accordingly. Maintain accurate production documentation and SAP reporting. Be able to use these tools for adjustments and continuous improvement opportunities.Understand and comply with all ED Smith (EDS) Safety policies and regulations. Be proactive in Health & Safety initiatives.Understand and comply with HACCP, Sanitation, and GMP policies and procedures. Be proactive in improvement initiatives.Maintain your work area in a safe and organized manner. Be proactive in initiatives to improve EDS manufacturing appearance.Maximize production efficiency through fine-tuning of equipment and procedures.Must be able to work shifts and overtime.Skills
Ability to multitask, handle change and convey thoughts clearly both orally and written, dependable, show initiative, and able to work and cooperate effectively in a team environment. Sound understanding of team dynamics, computer skills are an asset.
