Title: Machine Operator
Required Shift:
H Shift
Wednesday – Friday plus 1 Saturday Shift per Month
Job Purpose:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating PLC driven state of the art high-speed wrapping machinery with attached automatic boxing-off or bagging units.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have met time in role (12+ Months)
• Must have line manager approval to apply
• Must be in good standing in current role
• 2+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
• Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical degree or certifications
• 3+ years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
• Strong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Machine Operator:
• Continuously supply the wrapping machine with the appropriate finished product and wrapping materials to keep the machine running.
• Meet productivity requirements on a daily basis.
• Operates the wrapping machine with minimal waste to finished product and packaging material.
• Frequently performs quality assurance checks throughout the day, inspecting for packaging defects, material defects and gum quality.
• Perform periodic Autonomous Maintenance activities on the Wrapping Machine to ensure that it is always performing at peak efficiencies.
• Troubleshoots machinery breakdowns, cleans machine jams and aligns rolls of wrapping materials in an effort to minimize downtimes and promote productivity. productivity.
