Quanex is looking for a safety conscious, Machine Operator to join our Night Shift team located in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

In this role, you are responsible for setting-up, operating and verifying the quality of work on assigned machines (Planer/Gluer/Gang Saw/Chop Saw) in a manner to consistently meet production standards and qualifications.

What’s attractive about the Machine Operator position?

Pay range is $15.75 - $17.00 per hour - starting wage is based on relatable machine operation experience Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:30p - 6:00a & Overtime on Friday if needed Saturday and Sunday Nights Off!

What Success Looks Like:

Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and identifies any existing or potential safety issues. Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day. Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to the position. Monitors product constantly to ensure that quality standards are being met. Performs basic preventative maintenance as required Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.

What You Bring:

6 months of related machine operating experience. Experience with basic hand tools and measuring instruments. Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn. Accountability and initiative Basic Computer Skills preferred
