Machine Operator II

CNC Machinist responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment to produce precision metal components in a manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machine-controlled equipment in a metal cutting/metal working manufacturing environment.

High school diploma required.

Ability to apply shop math, read and interpret blueprints, and calculate dimensions.

Ability to use gauges and measuring tools to verify part quality.

Ability to understand work orders, machine controls and settings, fixture requirements, and tool requirements and make necessary adjustments.

Ability to reach up to 50 inches, lift 30 pounds, and apply 30 pounds of torque to ratchets for loading and unloading parts.

Preferred Skills:

Two-year Machine Tool Technology degree.

Four years of set-up and operating experience on CNC mills, lathes, or press equipment.

Two years of experience with 3-axis machines such as Mazak, Haas, Makino, or Onsrud.

Two years of experience with 5-axis machines such as Parpas, Cincinnati, Mitsubishi, or Yama Seiki.

Two years of experience with CNC water jet or laser cutting machines.

Job Responsibilities:

Set machine controls; measure and load tools, fixtures, and programs; and operate CNC machines.

Load and unload parts onto machines and fixtures from pallets or containers.

Use hand tools, ratchets, air tools, or other devices to secure parts and fixtures.

Machine parts to blueprint specifications.

Inspect parts to verify conformance to quality specifications.

Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend or implement corrective actions.

Use hoists, pallet jacks, or forklifts to move parts, materials, containers, and fixtures to and from storage areas.

Complete required paperwork, including work orders, labor and time reporting, quality records, and related documentation.



Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
