Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

As a Machine Operator in the Sioux Falls production plant, you will be responsible setting up, running and adjusting manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products in a safe working environment. You will report to the Section Lead.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policiesAdjust a variety of equipment in a timely fashion to maximize yieldsMake minor repairs and aid in trouble shootingPerform required quality checks and understand quality standardsAssist in packing as neededHigh school diploma or GED preferredThree to six months experience working in a manufacturing related fieldUnderstanding of air rings and extrudersAbility to train new employeesAbility to operator a fork liftAbility to use hand tools and measuring instrumentsAbility to communicate with people at all levels of the companyAbility to read and understand work ordersAbility to work independently

 

PAY: From $ 19.00/ hr  + Shift differential

Attendance is important! You must be reliable, punctual and consistent.You adjust a variety of equipment in a well-timed manner to maximize outputs.Make minor repairs and aid in troubleshooting.Perform required quality checks and understand the quality standards.Inspecting product for quality & ensure packing requirements are met.Knowledge in the use of these items will be needed: fork lift, measuring tools, an understanding of rings and extruders.Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies.Overtime is readily available in this position.
