Summary:
This position is responsible for the packaging of manufactured products. Packer responsibilities are in a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including, but not limited to; injection molding, thermoforming, quality and assembly.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include: (but not limited to the following):
Responsibility to safety proceduresVisually inspect, place into box (as necessary), and palletize finished goods to customer specificationsUse lifting assist device to where applicableTape and makes boxes for workcenters, insuring to keep the proper quantity available at all timesMonitor quality (deviations, comparing comparators)Document daily production values, including scrap quantities and reasonsOperate pallet jackCleaning/housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning machinesStack cartons from 25-40 #’s on palletsPushing/pulling full pallets on pallet jack and transport to elevatorMaintain assigned area in a fashion consistent with 5S principalsNotify shift leader and/or technical employees if a workcenter is experiencing consistent issues, or has stopped cyclingInsure that all machine downtime (start times) are recordedRecord accurate production data that includes all necessary information needed for tracking purposesAssist with the flow of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to and from the production area.Participate in the training of new employeesSupport and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.Report unsafe conditions and behaviors Qualifications
