International is currently looking for a skilled Machine Repair Technician for a 2nd or 3rd shift position at our Springfield Assembly Plant. We are looking for candidates with industrial manufacturing experience, specifically with Robotic Welders, Conveyors and Transfer Systems, a strong mechanical background and work ethic. These are represented positions with excellent benefits including dental, medical and a generous 401k.  


This position will pay $35.03 / hour with a 6% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Must be available for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot manufacturing equipmentWork with precision measuring instrumentsOperate machine shop equipmentInspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignments or other problemsRemove and replace worn or defective partsRead hydraulic schematics to aid in troubleshooting hydraulic systemsRead pneumatic schematics to aid in troubleshooting pneumatic systemsAbility to rebuild spindles, cylinders, valves, pumps, gearboxes, etc.Start machines and equipment to test operation following repairDocument all work performed on equipment for reporting Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GEDJourneyman Machine Repairman or minimum 8 years in trade Additional Requirements Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to work at heights, climb ladders and use aerial lift equipmentMust be able to work outdoors during cold and inclement weatherMust be a safety oriented, independent self-starters. Willing to participate in continuous improvement activitiesPunctual and regular attendance is requiredAble and willing to work any shift assignedQualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, LegalPermanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in steel fabricationExperience in sheet metal fabrication and repairExperience in basic machiningExperience with coupling alignment for motors, gearboxes and pumps.
