Machine shop maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility. Responsible for troubleshooting issues, conducting preventative maintenance and preforming repairs to keep machines running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Inspect machines and equipment to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Conducting routine maintenance such as lubricating machinery and replacing worn parts
- Troubleshooting problems with machines and equipment to identify the root cause of issues
- Performing repairs on machines and equipment, such as replacing parts, adjusting settings, or calibrating equipment
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed on machines and equipment
- Collaborating with other maintenance technicians and production staff to ensure machines are running properly
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Strong electrical and ladders skills in machining required
- CNC controls required
- 3+ years related experience
