Hydraulic System Shop Supervisor 

Westland, MI
Company builds customer machinery; fluid drive systems.

MUST have original equipment build experience! Pay rate: $30-45/hr, based on level of experience
Job responsibilities: Will oversee the build of new equipment and will manage up to 15 employees in the shop

Equipment Testing:

Scheduling jobs – coordinate timing with the build process and customer visits

Troubleshooting test issues

Ensure employees are following proper processes

Equipment calibration (monitor equipment and order calibrations per the schedule)

Paint area:

Since paint is the last operation, it often gets less timing that it should and often requires extended OT to hold to committed ship date.

Ensure employees are following proper processes and using proper PPE

Equipment calibration (monitor equipment and order calibrations per the schedule)

Warranty/Repair Evaluations:

Troubleshooting technical problems in the field for warranty/service calls and for sales & customers.

Writing bill of material changes (work orders)

Loading large power units/lube units onto trucks

Other:Scheduling daily labor for all areas of the production shopDealing with personnel problemsInterviewing new employeesWriting annual reviews when requestedCoordinate with build leadersAttend production meetings to develop requirementsComponent conversions for inside sales and SMO departmentsFacility Management/ MaintenanceBuilding Upgrades/Special ProjectsMachine/Equipment MaintenanceGeneral Shop Equipment & Tools, etc.Operate as needed: Hi-Lo, Fabrication Equipment, Test Equipment, Paint Booth, Air Makeup System, HVAC
Hours: 6:30am - 3:30pm, M-F
Permanent job - 90 day contract to direct hire
