Machine Tear Down TechnicianJob Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Machine Tear Down Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling large machinery attached to railroad cars, handling custom projects, and performing mechanical repairs.

Location: Arcola, ILShift: (6AM - 4:30PM)Overtime: Optional, occasionally required on Saturday morningKey Responsibilities:Disassemble and reassemble large machinery on railroad cars.Perform repairs and part changes using hand and power tools.Use a torch and plasma cutter as needed (training provided).Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Handle custom repair work.Work on tear down, repair, and full build of railroad machines.Utilize hydraulic knowledge for repairs.Essential Skills:Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Strong mechanical aptitude.Experience in mechanical assembly, auto mechanics, or as a farm hand.Maintenance repair and welding experience.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics.Willingness to learn and work hard.Enjoys hands-on work.Why Join Us?Team-oriented, supportive work environment.Training provided with ample room for advancement.Potential for a pay raise upon becoming a direct hire.Opportunities to gain experience in different areas.Past candidates have quickly advanced to leadership roles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
