Job Description
This position provides an opportunity to join a team of experienced, knowledgeable, and highly skilled Machinery Repair and Restoration Technicians and professionals to assist clients locally in Cleveland, OH, across the country, and sometimes even globally, in recovering, restoring, rebuilding, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and systems.
Our technicians, when serving the needs of our emergency restoration clients, respond to facilities across a variety of industries affected by all manner of events such as: fires, floods, hurricanes, tornados, etc. The work is commonly performed at our clients’ manufacturing facilities and occasionally at our facility in Cleveland, OH. We specialize, and take great pride, in developing and executing creative solutions to get our client’s facilities and equipment back up and running. When serving our non-restoration clients we often perform various general machinery repair and maintenance services. Depending on the candidate’s location, skillset and experience, it is possible that they could work with our main team in Cleveland, OH on our day to day machinery repair general-scope projects, or join us on our remote restoration-scope projects. We understand this is a specialized field and are willing to provide training to the right, safety minded candidate, that demonstrates strong teamwork skills, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn.
The Machinery Repair and Restoration Technician role is an integral part of the company’s operations. A successful project requires collaboration that draws from our diverse and multi-disciplined teams’ skills, knowledge and experience. This person will work under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Machinery Repair Team Lead to execute each project’s tailored repair or restoration scope.
Experience and Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or graduation from a certified technical school required General knowledge, mechanical aptitude, or hands on experience with mechanical repair Knowledge of and ability to use mechanic’s/machine repairman’s tools General troubleshooting and/or machinery restoration experience a plus Basic welding or metal fabrication skills a plus Experience with forklift operation and man lift operation and assistance a plus. Training and certification provided as needed. Experience with basic rigging a plus OSHA 10 or higher a plus English language literacy and fluency required, Spanish or other language fluency a plus

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Attend company sponsored trainings, including but not limited to, machinery restoration SOP and methodology in order to become familiarized with our specialized processes, as well as regularly scheduled safety courses Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Highly value attention to detail and commitment to a high standard of professionalism, including safeguarding our client’s proprietary processes and confidential information Work in coordination with our Technical Service and Property Restoration Teams to ensure a cohesive and successful restoration process for our clients Assist and/or follow direction of Lead Technician and Project Manager on all aspects of machine repair, rebuilding, and restoration projects Assess impact to machinery and equipment and identify systems and components in need of restoration and repair including but not limited to; hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, drive, cooling, lubrication, etc. Execute machinery repair processes for impacted systems in accordance with scope, skillset, and experience Provide assistance to various internal teams by removing and reassembling machinery guards, access covers, etc. for thorough decontamination as required for the restoration process Label, document, disassemble, and reassemble machinery and equipment in an organized and methodical manner. Disassembly may include removing and replacing individual components such as valves, bearings, hoses, cylinders, motors, etc. or full machinery disassembly depending on project scope - as guided by lead technician. Basic welding, cutting, burning is occasionally required Upon completion of machinery reassembly, perform quality control and final inspections prior to delivering machine to lead technician for startup and functional testing Under direction of lead technician assist startup team and provide basic troubleshooting assistance
