Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 30 lbs Must be able to stand for extended periods of time throughout the duration of an 8- or 12-hour shift

 

Working Environment:

Will work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and filter aid that may require respiratory protection. Facial hair must be removed if required to wear respirator Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends Must be able to work overtime as required (only for non-exempt positions)

Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

After set up by others, takes specific instructions and operates various standard and specialized machines  Perform such typical operations as loading parts or material into bins, hoppers and feeds; removing finished parts; operating switches, pedals and levers.  Observes operation for malfunction or improper processing of parts and corrects/reports. Responsible for submitting “First Article”  Uses standard gauges to check parts according to specification.  Perform related tasks in departments to which assigned such as; assembling, drilling, deburring, sorting, counting, etching, stamping and recording of parts processed. Parts to be lifted and/or transported may weigh up to 30 lbs.       Must read blueprints and have knowledge to use micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators as needed and read blueprints. Train other operators as required Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis. Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
