**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** Electrical Repair Shop - Motor Testing. Motors will come in, and you will perform part testing using mics (OD & ID mics) to determine issues in housings, shafts, and bearings to meet specific customer/project specifications and tolerances. You will then use lathes or mills to perform undercuts, skim cuts, laser welds, or machine parts to correct and rebuild motor components. **Hard Skills** + 2-6 years working with manual machines + 2-6 years running a manual lathe + Ability to work off blueprints and part drawings + Ability to read and determine calibers, micrometers, inside mics, outside mics, and perform mic testing + Ability to machine to specific specs and tolerances **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Birmingham, Alabama. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
