**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist with a strong background in manual machining. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with mills and lathes, as well as expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints. **Responsibilities** + Operate and maintain metal lathe, milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, metal brake, metal shear, plasma cutting, metal forming, welders, acetylene torches, and metal cutting saws. + Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial machinery, work tools, and equipment. + Perform both uptime and downtime preventive maintenance in adherence to the master PM schedule. + Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner. + Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, startup, and installation. + Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work. + Operate forklifts, man lifts, cranes, and other machinery as needed. + Provide assistance in operating functions/areas. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of manual machining experience. + Proficiency with mills and lathes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience using calipers and other precision tools. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to take accurate measurements using precision tools. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with no deductions from paychecks. The facility includes one of the world's most powerful mills, specializing in hot rolling and processing of specialty metal sheets, rolled strips, and plates. The work schedule follows a Monday-Friday rotation with 10-12 hour shifts, rotating every week. Overtime is available after 8 hours of work per day. Shift start times are 6 AM for the 1st shift, 2 PM for the 2nd shift, and 10 PM for the 3rd shift.
