Temp assignment 9 months. Looking for a machinist with +1 years experience. Position Summary: Performs tasks necessary for producing ball tooling. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Be able to follow directions. Form shells for ball tooling using hydraulic presses. Be accountable for following standard procedures. May be required to cross train in multiple areas of sort. Produce a certain volume per day. Trim shells using manual lathe. Maintain work area in neat and orderly condition. Perform work in accordance with sound safety practices. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager. Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: High school graduation or equivalent Three years or more experience in a CNC shop atmosphere. Manual lathe and mill experience. Knowledge of reading precision measuring equipment. i/e caliper, micrometer Knowledge and Skills Requirements Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English to facilitate teamwork and ensure safety. Able to operate Hydraulic press, manual mill and lathe equipment. Able to work well with others. Demonstrates skill in the use of standard equipment and hand tools peculiar to all areas of assignment. Able to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently. Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately. Able to work in a fast paced environment. Work Environment / Physical Requirements Required to wear steel toe boots, which will be provided after ninety days. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Physically able to lift up to 25lbs.
