The Role: Machinist

Join Our Team in Rydalmere: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Acoustics Manufacturing Team. Your role will involve operating machining equipment to produce sonar parts for our assembly lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machines to machine production parts to tolerance.Set up machines for machining tasks.Perform machine safety checks and routine maintenance as requiredEnsure our daily production requirements are metMaintain machine and area cleanliness.Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.Identify and report equipment failures/defects.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components.Willingness to learn new equipment

Your Skills:

Relevant tradesman qualifications - Trade experience in Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking.Proficient in setting up and operating machining equipmentExperience with CNC machinery and basic programming.Ability to perform machine maintenance and fault finding.Effective communication and teamwork skills.
