Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience as a machinist, with hands-on expertise in operating manual mills, lathes, and hand tools.Solid understanding of working with plastic materials and their machining characteristics.Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.Experience in producing high-precision parts with tight tolerances.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of shop safety standards and practices.Experience working with a variety of plastic materials such as acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS, and PVC.Basic understanding of basic plastic welding, adhesives, and finishing techniques.Familiarity with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of manual machines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or certification in machining or manufacturing preferred).At least 2 years of experience working as a machinist with manual equipment, preferably in plastic part fabrication.Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.Good hand-eye coordination for detailed machining and finishing tasks.

Base Pay Range: $21.64 - $36.78 Per Hour
