**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring skilled **Machinists** for projects located in and around the **Portland, OR area.** This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of **$35-44/hour** based on experience & skill level. If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Operate large manual machine tools including lathes (36" to 48" swing), mills, & drill presses + Perform precision machining on materials such as mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, & bronze + Maintain tolerances of .001 or less to ensure high-quality machining + Set up machines, select tools, & determine cutting speeds or feeds + Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools + Perform routine maintenance & cleaning of machine tools + Other tasks as assigned **Requirements** + 5+ Years of Experience Operating Large Manual Machines + Expertise in machining mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, & bronze + Proficiency in precision machining techniques + Willingness to work a swing shift + Ability to read blueprints + Must standard personal machinist tools **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
