**Job Title: Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a Sr. Level Machinist with extensive experience in large part machining. This position offers assignments on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The primary function of the Machinist will be to set up and operate NC/CNC machines, as well as conventional machines, to produce and repair a variety of finished and semi-finished components and assemblies. The role includes assembling and disassembling machined parts and components using established manufacturing processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate a variety of NC/CNC machines, including multi-axis machines, HBM, VTL, lathe, grinding, and hone machine tools.
+ Read and interpret detailed part and tool drawings.
+ Utilize all types and sizes of fixtures, attachments, gauges, precision measuring equipment, and machinist's tools.
+ Operate bridge cranes, jib cranes, fork trucks, hand trucks, etc., for material handling.
+ Perform all machining functions such as turning, milling, boring, grooving, chamfering, profiling, tapering, and tapping.
+ Maintain drawing requirements including length, diameters, perpendicularity, parallelism, and concentricity.
+ Support development and routine machining operations associated with NC/CNC Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, and Horizontal Lathe equipment.
+ Assist in the startup of NC/CNC machines including Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, Horizontal Lathe, and multi-axis equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Vertical Mill Turn experience
+ Ability to work on large machines
+ Experience with NC/CNC machines and conventional machines
+ Ability to read and interpret detailed part and tool drawings
+ Proficiency in setting up and operating multi-axis machines, HBM, VTL, lathe, grinding, and hone machine tools
+ Experience with Fanuc Control, G code, and 5-axis programming
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School graduate
+ Completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent is an asset
+ 6+ years of CNC machining/setup/programming experience within a job shop type environment
+ Ability to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency levels
+ Effective communication skills
+ Basic knowledge, skills, and abilities in assembly work and machining
+ Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transport a distance of 10 feet

**Work Environment**
This role is set in a machining/assembly manufacturing environment. The facility operates three shifts: 1st shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 2nd shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $40.00/hr.
