Job details The Machinist Apprentice will be responsible for loading & unloading parts in and out of a CNC Machines to ensure the parts are in compliance per the drawing and manufacturing inspection plan.

Responsibilities:
-First priority is keeping production parts loaded and unload in the assigned CNC machines per set-up instructions/work order. The expectation is to keep the spindles running making good parts on time without sacrificing quality. ... -Inspect parts per manufacturing inspection plan (MIP) and accurately record all results on the MIP document as parts come off the CNCs.
-Tag and document all non-conformance parts per the AS9100 procedures/work instructions.
-Clocking in and out of work order operations in ERP system (Global). Recording any scrap in ERP system.
-Ensure that the shop floor is kept clean and professional. This includes but is not limited to: FOD prevention, putting tooling away, keeping work surfaces clean and organized, keeping CNC machines clean of chips, wiping oil/grease off machines, Sweeping/Mopping floor, general cleaning, putting away company inspection tools, and any other cleaning duty on shop floor per management.
-Follow safety procedures and policies.
-Ensure that all company guidelines are being followed as outlined in Employee Handbook.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
-Understanding of CNC machines, machining, inspection and safety.
-Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and instructions, and communicate them in an understandable manner.
-Understanding of production scheduling, and compliance.
-Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers, suppliers and members of industry.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Required: High School or GED equivalent level of applicable experience.
-Preferred: Machining technical training by a trade school or college.
-Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
