Machinist I/II - 1st shift

If you are an experienced Machinist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting leadership opportunity at our Boulder, CO location. Under limited supervision, sets up and operates two or more production machines on complicated production work involving difficult operations, close tolerances, and difficult set-ups of parts. Has basic understanding when working with various metal properties. Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blue-print specifications. This position is located at Emerson/Rosemount Facility. 
 
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Independently identifies work to be done. Proactively flexes into other areas to improve overall product flow and efficiency. Works on assignments that are frequently non-routine and moderately complex in nature, where judgement is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.   Refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Ensures product and process quality is maintained through visual inspection, measuring instruments and testing as required.  Assures that all details of a task are accomplished properly. Takes initiative to troubleshoot and problem solve. Actively participates in Improvement Teams, Lean Manufacturing, 5s + 1 efforts to help improve quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce manufacturing costs. Performs preventative maintenance on, and ensures calibration of, equipment, tools, and fixtures, as required. Assists in the orientation and training of other machinists. Maintains good safety, attendance, and performance records. Able to read, interpret, and follow written, visual, drawings and verbal work instructions. Demonstrates ability to perform complex setups and capable of machining complicated parts on two or more machines. Communicate clearly and work well with all members of a team.

For This Role, You Will Need: 1 year as Machinist  For external candidates, 2+ years machining experience required

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the hourly pay range for this role is $22.56 – $29.41 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
