Primary aspects of role: people management and development; maintain a safe work environment and safety culture; guide teams to meet and exceed customer expectations; track performance for KPI’s and metrics; understand and manage immediate and future customer needs; support problem solving; and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_** + Must be self-motivated and open minded to lean our machining and safety procedures + Efficiently, carefully, and accurately sets-up and operates manual mills and lathes and has lengthy experience using a horizontal boring mill on a wide variety of diversified work + Lays out work and produce quality parts + Deciphers sketches, blueprints, and engineering details + Provides assistance in establishing set up and layout methods, order of operations, and application of required parts and materials + Carries a job through from raw materials to the finished products from drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instruction. + Sharpens, reworks, resets and repairs cutting tools + Inspects and checks parts being produced + Maintains accurate production records and job history + Performs minor machine maintenance activities. Assists in setting up complex machines and stacking, marking, packing and transporting of finished products.
