Machinist - Level 2

Honeywell\nis a seeking a Level\n2 Machinist to perform all machining operations required to produce\nfinished products from a variety of materials.

This\nperson will work from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written\nand/or oral instructions for the successful set-up and operation of manual\nmachine tools. 

This\nperson will set-up and operation CNC machine tools, perform dimensional\ninspection, and perform data collection for paperwork completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Successfully create parts\n from a blueprint, manufacturing operations and tooling instructions, or\n engineering instructions.Set-up and operate CNC and\n manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc., to very close tolerances Use\n micrometers/other measuring instruments in order to perform quality\n control checks on parts in-process and upon completionMaintain equipment and work\n area in a clean and orderly mannerRecommend changes to\n processes or procedures to improve quality and productivity Exercise care\n and safe work practices - work requires close tolerances and fine finishes\n Tasks may include development parts, depending upon production demands and\n product mixDetermine which of several\n alternatives to use in conjunction with the programmer to accomplish tasksMake simple program changes\n and fixture modifications via manual editsSolve problems and deviations\n in accordance with previous training; interact with engineers to find\n solutions to new or unusual problemsEnter process data when\n requiredPerform necessary tasks and\n paperwork for the proper movement and control of parts and material in\n conjunction with manufacturing tracking systemActively participate in\n Honeywell Operating System (HOS) activities, daily meetings, understand\n what is to be accomplished during the shift, and discuss any new shift\n related issues.Actively participate in\n Honeywell Structured Safety Process (SSP) activities, attend daily safety\n meetings, complete daily, weekly, and monthly safety related tasks.\n Accountable for work station or work cell housekeeping.Perform daily job functions\n in accordance with policies from: EH&S, Quality, and housekeeping.


LOCATION:      \nSpokane Valley, Washington

HOURS:            \n5:00 am - 3:30 pm Thursday - Sunday 

SALARY: \n          The Salary Range for\nthis position is $25.00 - $26.00 per hour. The actual base salary will depend\non a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other\nrelevant factors.

YOU MUST HAVECompletion of Machine Shop\n Technology program with machinist-level experience in a high-volume\n manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of training and\n experience.Proficiency in operating and\n maintaining CNC machining equipmentStrong attention to detail\n and quality control WE VALUETechnical certification or\n degree in machining or related fieldExperience with CNC machiningKnowledge of programming and\n CAD/CAM softwareAbility to read and\n understand blue prints. Experience with manual latheExperience machining\n tantalum, copper and/or aluminum preferred.
