Our client in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Machinist Operator (NC210) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have reliability, excellent work ethic and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Machinist (NC210)** **Location: Thousand Oaks, CA** **Pay Range: $30hr (DOE)** **What’s the Job?** **Job Responsibilities** - Able to set up and operate CNC Lathe or CNC Mill with 5-10 years’ experience. Retrieve appropriate tools from tool crib to complete job. - Read blueprints, machine, and inspect completed parts and related documentation. Refer to reference books or confer with engineers to resolve questions/issues - Utilizes tools and measuring instruments including, but not limited to saw, shear, grinder, calipers, micrometer, calculator, and various other hand tools. - Must set-up, run, and inspect parts to drawing specification using CNC Lathe or CNC Mill, and/or CNC mill turn. - The Machinist Operator is required to perform first article inspections and correct any discrepancies between part measurements and print requirements. - Must perform advanced set-up and fixturing of jobs. The Machinist Operator must have the ability to troubleshoot and rectify any problems. - Should be adept in all aspects of machining and assist other machinists as needed. - Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and layout techniques. **What’s Needed?** + Preferred years of experience: 5-10 years + Able to read, speak, and understand English + Reading, writing and math ability + Able to lift/carry/pull/push up to 20lbs + Occasionally (approximately 3 hours per shift) required to go through intervals of walking, sitting, twisting, and bending **What’s in it for me?** + Great company to work for! + Opportunity for growth/permanent placement! + Competitive wages!
