About the Opportunity:

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a dependable and proactive Mail and Facility Coordinator to support our product development facility in Schaumburg, IL. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will oversee shipping and receiving, operate material-handling equipment (including forklifts), and assist with basic security and facility operations for a team of approximately 100 employees. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient flow of materials in and out of the building and maintaining operational support for daily activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Shipping & Receiving Operations (50%) 

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, including prototypes, components, and supplies Package, document, and coordinate outbound shipments (couriers, LTL, freight, etc.) Maintain accurate records of materials received/shipped and update internal tracking systemsCoordinate closely with other team members to meet delivery schedulesSafely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and organize materialsUnload and stage shipments Ensure areas are clean, safe, and well-organized

 

Security & Facility Support

Assist with front-door security protocols, including visitor check-in and badge control Perform walkthroughs to monitor doors, equipment rooms, and secure access points Support emergency response procedures and report safety or security concerns 

Qualifications 

High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or facilities support roleValid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Basic computer skills (shipping software, MS Office, visitor and security system) Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently Able to lift up to 25 lbs 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience supporting R&D or engineering-driven operations Familiarity with FedEx/UPS systems and BOL/freight documentation Exposure to building or physical security procedures is a plus 

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $47,400 - $66,000 annually.This role is categorized as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Franklin Park, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
