Summary:
Picks up, sorts, and delivers inter-office and external mail/packages, and prepares mail for postage. Prepares mail for Virtua couriers for distribution throughout Virtua locations.
Position Responsibilities:
Processing mail at hospitals – Sorts all inter-office and U.S. Post Office mail for pick up or limited delivery to departments. Prepares mail for couriers for distribution throughout Virtua locations. (Traveling required between various Virtua locations as needed.)
Places mail into trays for delivery to the Post Office.
Operates Postage machine.
For undeliverable mail – Searches “Virtua Works” employee list to determine locations for employees and doctors.
Substitutes in all mailroom locations in absence of other mail clerks and Supervisor (traveling required).
Operates Inserter machine.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Basic computer skills (ability to search for information from specific sources). Ability to read and comprehend in order to accurately sort and distribute mail.
Required Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Valid drivers license, good driving record and applicable vehicle insurance.
